What is Restylane used for?
We use the Restylane family of products to smooth moderate to severe facial folds and wrinkles, such as the lines from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial folds). Restylane also offers unique products designed expressly to enhance lip countours and fullness. Restylane generally lasts for about six months. It has been found to be a safe dermal filler that restores volume and fullness to the skin.
How does Restylane work?
Restylane is injected into the skin with an ultra-fine needle. It plumps the skin to smooth away wrinkles and folds. Restylane’s water-loving nature attracts and binds water molecules to help maintain volume.
Restylane is composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that already exists in the body. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane is a crystal clear gel that is chemically cross-linked (the long chemical strands are tied together) to delay breakdown by skin enzymes. Restylane Lyft is non-animal-based and free from animal protein. This quality prevents disease transmission. Allergy pre-testing is not necessary.
How long does Restylane last?
Restylane Lyft is proven to deliver long-lasting results. Studies have shown that Restylane Lyfteffects generally last about six months as shown in the following graphs. Restylane Lyft gradually disappears from the body without a trace.
We have the New Restylane Silk to get your ideal lips! Everyone’s facial structure is different — and so is everyone’s ideal lip shape and size. Silk has smaller particles and is designed to provide precise lip shaping and line control, resulting in silkier, smoother lips and natural-looking results without the overdone, puffy look.
Restylane® is probably the most exciting non-surgical advancement in facial rejuvenation today. While there are numerous injectable fillers on the market, many of them have their drawbacks ranging from allergic reactions to short life spans.
Restylane is safe and natural.
Restylane is a non-animal based products derived from hyaluronic acid (present in all living organisms) in the form of a clear gel. Restylane is now FDA-approved in the U.S. Once injected into the skin, it works with the body’s own hyaluronic acid to create volume.
In 1996, the biotechnology company Q-Med of Sweden created a genetically engineered version of hyaluronic acid (Restylane and Perlane). Hyaluronic acid is a polysaccharide, or natural sugar, that is found largely in the skin. Its primary function is to provide volume and pliability to the skin. The unique characteristic of hyaluronic acid is its ability to bind with water up to 1000 times its volume. This property makes it ideal as a filler agent, for even while hyaluronic acid filler is being naturally degraded it continues to attract more water to it. This characteristic allows it to hold its shape even longer.
